FX.co ★ Belite Bio Appoints Hendrik Scholl As Chief Medical Officer

Belite Bio Inc (BLTE) has announced the immediate appointment of Hendrik Scholl as its new Chief Medical Officer.

Scholl brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is currently the President of the European Vision Institute and serves as the Chairman of the largest clinical research network in ophthalmology in Europe, EVICR.net, along with its Expert Committee on Retinal Dystrophies. Additionally, he is the Founder and President of the Swiss Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO-SWISS).

Previously, Scholl held the position of Professor of Ophthalmology and Endowed Chair at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University Medical School. At Johns Hopkins Hospital, he led the Retinal Degeneration Clinic and directed the Visual Neurophysiology Service. Moreover, he co-directed the Johns Hopkins Center for Stem Cells and Ophthalmic Regenerative Medicine at the Wilmer Eye Institute.
