Skye Bioscience, Inc. (SKYE), a biopharmaceutical company, announced the appointment of Puneet Arora as its new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on Tuesday.

Puneet Arora brings a wealth of experience to the role, being board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. His distinguished career spans over 15 years, during which he has excelled as a physician-scientist, drug developer, and executive leader. Arora has a robust track record in designing and executing clinical trials across various therapeutic areas and phases, regulatory submissions, medical affairs, and fundraising efforts for both small biotech firms and large pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to joining Skye Bioscience, Arora held the position of CMO at Lassen Therapeutics, where he contributed from the preclinical stage. His previous experience includes serving as Head of Clinical Development at Principia Biopharma, now a Sanofi company, and as Senior Medical Director for Early Clinical Development and Clinical Team Leader in the Inflammation/Cardiovascular-Metabolism sectors at Genentech Research and Early Development.
