AT&T Enters 5-yr Deal With Nokia To Support Its Fiber Network Footprint - Quick Facts

Nokia has entered into a multi-year agreement with AT&T to deploy advanced fiber access technology. Under this five-year deal, Nokia will supply its Lightspan MF and Altiplano platforms. The agreement encompasses upgrades to AT&T's existing fiber network and the integration of next-generation fiber technologies for future expansions, all in compliance with the Build America, Buy America guidelines.

Sandy Motley, President of Fixed Networks at Nokia, commented, "Our fiber solution enables a full range of PON technologies on a single platform and fiber, including current 10/25G PON and future 50/100G PON. This will ultimately assist operators like AT&T in optimizing their existing fiber broadband networks both now and in the future."
