Nordex SE, the German manufacturer of wind turbines, announced on Tuesday that it has secured an order for the supply and installation of turbines at the Miejska Gorka wind farm in Poland. The financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed.
The company will deliver 41 N117/3600 turbines, amounting to a total capacity of 147.6 MW, starting from the end of 2025. Additionally, the order includes a Premium Service contract for the turbines over a 30-year period.
Located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, the wind farm will be equipped with turbines mounted on tubular steel towers, each with a hub height of 134 meters. The Miejska Gorka wind farm is expected to commence operations at the beginning of 2027.
This project, developed by the German project developer and operator VSB, which is majority-owned by Partners Group, has been sold to Tauron Zielona Energia S.A., Poland's second-largest energy company.
VSB will oversee the infrastructure work starting in 2025 and will also manage an expansion of the wind farm. This expansion will add 12 more turbines, increasing the total count from 41 to 53, bringing the project's overall capacity to 190.8 MW.
