AerCap In Lease Deals With Azerbaijan Airlines For Six New Airbus Aircraft

AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER), an aviation leasing company based in Ireland, announced on Wednesday that it has entered into lease agreements with Azerbaijan Airlines for six new Airbus aircraft powered by CFM LEAP engines. The deal includes three A320neos and three A321neos.

The delivery of these aircraft is slated for 2026. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Peter Anderson, AerCap's Chief Commercial Officer, remarked, "The A320neo and A321neo are among the most desirable and in-demand aircraft globally. These additions will not only allow AZAL to serve more customers across an expanded range of destinations but also support their commitment to modernizing their fleet with technologically advanced, fuel-efficient aircraft."

Samir Rzayev, President of AZAL, added that these lease agreements significantly enhance their fleet replacement efforts.
