FX.co ★ Ribbon Communications Appoints John Townsend To Succeed Miguel Lopez As CFO

Ribbon Communications Inc. (RBBN) announced on Thursday the appointment of John Townsend as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, with his tenure commencing on November 1, 2024. Townsend is set to replace Miguel Lopez, who will be retiring following a brief transition period.

Townsend is a seasoned financial executive with over three decades of experience. He spent nine years at Verizon Communications, taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer in various branches, including Verizon Business, Verizon Consumer, and Verizon Wireless.

Before joining Verizon, Townsend dedicated nearly 20 years to Vodafone, undertaking several regional Chief Financial Officer roles. During his time at Vodafone, he was also the Chief Financial Officer of the Verizon Wireless joint venture, where he was accountable for the company's SEC reporting and investor communications.

Most recently, Townsend held the position of CFO at Digicel, where he successfully enhanced profitability and operational efficiencies.
