Astrana Health Buys Collaborative Health Systems

Astrana Health, Inc. (ASTH), a healthcare company centered around providers and powered by advanced technology, has successfully acquired Collaborative Health Systems (CHS), a management services organization that was previously part of Centene Corp. (CNC).

CHS manages the care of over 129,000 beneficiaries across 17 states.

Astrana, which engages with more than 12,000 providers and caters to over 1 million Americans through value-based care models, stated that this acquisition will enhance the payer-neutral care delivery capabilities of both Astrana and CHS.

The acquisition was finalized following the necessary regulatory approvals.

An updated financial forecast will be shared by the company during its third-quarter 2024 earnings announcement.

Brandon Sim, President and CEO of Astrana Health, remarked, "With the completion of our acquisition of CHS, I am confident that Astrana is even better equipped to offer accessible, high-quality care of significant value to local communities and patients. CHS has established a substantial and effective value-based care network in markets from the South to the East Coast. By integrating Astrana’s powerful technology platform and care methodologies with CHS’s extensive provider network and strong payer partnerships, we aim to advance our shared mission of organizing and empowering providers, while enhancing the healthcare experience for patients nationwide."
