Astec Industries, Inc. (ASTE) has officially announced the appointment of Brian Harris to the position of Chief Financial Officer, a decision that takes effect immediately. With Harris stepping into this role, Heinrich Jonker will step down from his role as Interim Chief Financial Officer but will continue to contribute his expertise as Vice President of Finance for Infrastructure Solutions within the company.

Brian Harris brings a wealth of financial leadership experience to Astec, having previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Summit Materials, Inc. (SUM) for a decade, from October 2013 until February 2023. Before his tenure at Summit, Harris was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Bausch + Lomb Corp., a leading eye health products company, from 2009 to 2013. His career foundation was laid at the Gates Corporation, where he held various roles from 1996 until 2009.
