In September, Japan's producer prices remained stable, according to the Bank of Japan's report on Thursday, defying the anticipated decrease of 0.3 percent after a 0.2 percent reduction in August. Annually, producer prices increased by 2.8 percent, surpassing the predicted rise of 2.3 percent and up from 2.6 percent in the prior month. Export prices experienced a monthly decline of 0.4 percent but increased by 0.5 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, import prices fell 1.3 percent month-on-month and decreased by 0.4 percent on an annual basis. Additionally, the foreign exchange rate dropped by 2.0 percent monthly.
