FX.co ★ Quest Diagnostics Completes Acquisition Of Lab Assets From OhioHealth

Quest Diagnostics (DGX) announced on Monday the completion of its acquisition of certain laboratory assets from OhioHealth, a prominent not-for-profit, charitable, integrated health system. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The acquisition aims to expand the availability of cost-effective and innovative laboratory services throughout Ohio.

Healthcare providers and patients in Ohio will gain from Quest's extensive range of tests, its network of patient service locations, comprehensive health plan coverage, and reduced out-of-pocket expenses for numerous services.

The majority of the outreach testing formerly conducted by OhioHealth will now be managed by Quest's full-service laboratory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

OhioHealth will retain ownership and operation of its hospital labs dedicated to inpatient and hospital-based outpatient care, as well as its anatomic pathology and oncology services.
