FX.co ★ Seymour Whyte And John Holland JV Secures EUR 432 Mln Railway Upgrade Contract In Queensland

Seymour Whyte, an entity under VINCI Construction based in Australia, has formed a 50-50 joint venture with John Holland to upgrade a railway section stretching from Beerburrum to Nambour in southeast Queensland.

Valued at €432 million (A$695 million), this project is scheduled to begin in 2025 and will be carried out over a two-year period. Significant upgrades will include track duplication, rail straightening, enhancement of a park-and-ride facility, and signaling system improvements. Furthermore, multiple viaducts will be constructed and renovated as part of the project.
