Rentokil Initial Q3 Revenues Flat, While It Rise 3.6% At CER; Confirms FY24 Outlook

Rentokil Initial, the renowned British commercial pest control company, announced its third-quarter revenue figures, aligning with the previous year's benchmark of £1.382 billion. When evaluated at constant exchange rates, the company observed a revenue growth of 3.6%. Additionally, Rentokil Initial confirmed its revenue and margin forecasts for the 2024 fiscal year.

In the company’s trading performance update for the quarter ending September 30, there was an organic revenue growth of 2.6%, which was bolstered by strong performances in Europe, the UK, and Asia.

Within North America, organic revenue experienced a growth rate of 1.4%, matching the organic revenue growth in its pest control segment.

Rentokil Initial also shared that efforts to boost North America’s organic growth and to realign the cost structure have intensified since the previous trading update in September.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2024, Rentokil anticipates the Group Adjusted Profit Before Tax and Amortization (PBTA) to approximate £700 million, with an expected Group Adjusted Operating Profit margin around 15.5%.

Guidance for North America's organic growth remains consistent at approximately 1%, with the North America Adjusted Operating Profit margin projected to reach about 17.2%.

However, for fiscal 2025, profit margins will likely be influenced by the integration of synergies, which is expected to be delayed by two to three months due to a review period in the first quarter of 2025.

Andy Ransom, CEO of Rentokil Initial, noted, "Our Group showcased a 2.6% organic revenue growth in Q3, significantly driven by our international operations. We recognize the underperformance in North America and are keenly focusing on necessary operational enhancements. We are broadening our initiatives to fuel organic growth and actively addressing the challenge of managing cost escalations."
