TreeHouse Foods Expands Waffle, Pancake Products Recall Over Potential Listeria Monocytogenes Risk

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (THS) announced on Tuesday an expanded voluntary recall of its waffle and pancake products due to a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This decision follows additional tests conducted at the manufacturing facility.

The affected products have been distributed across all states and provinces in the United States and Canada and are available in most retail outlets. The risk of contamination poses serious health concerns, particularly for children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. While healthy individuals might experience temporary symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, no cases of illness have been confirmed so far.

TreeHouse Foods advises consumers to either discard the recalled products or return them to the point of purchase for a refund. At present, TreeHouse's shares are trading at $39.51, reflecting a 1.86 percent decline on the New York Stock Exchange.
