FX.co ★ Green Plains Promotes Phil Boggs To Succeed Jim Stark As CFO

Green Plains Inc. (GPRE), a biorefining company, announced on Thursday the appointment of Phil Boggs as their new Chief Financial Officer, effective November 1, 2024. Boggs will oversee the finance, accounting, and investor relations departments. Currently, he holds the position of Executive Vice President of Investor Relations & Finance.

Jim Stark, the current CFO, will be retiring by the end of the year. This transition is part of a planned succession strategy that began in 2022 when Stark assumed the CFO role with the goal of grooming Boggs for this leadership position.

Since joining Green Plains in 2009, Boggs has been involved in various roles with increasing responsibility. He served in investor and media relations from 2009 to 2019, returned to the company in 2022, and has been leading investor relations since 2019. Additionally, he held the position of Treasurer from 2014 to 2021.
