Consumer prices in South Korea remained unchanged on a seasonally adjusted basis for October, as reported by Statistics Korea on Tuesday. This result fell short of the anticipated 0.2 percent rise and was a decrease from the 0.1 percent increase observed in September.
Annually, the inflation rate rose by 1.3 percent, which did not meet the projected 1.4 percent and was a decline from September's 1.6 percent. Meanwhile, the Core Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a monthly increase of 0.2 percent and an annual gain of 1.8 percent, following a decline of 0.2 percent monthly and a 2.0 percent annual increase recorded in September.
