BT Group H1 Pretax Profit Declines; Adj. Revenue Down 3%

BT Group plc announced its half-year financial results, reporting a profit before tax of £967 million, a decrease from £1.08 billion in the previous year. Basic earnings per share were at 7.8 pence, compared to 8.6 pence last year. The company's adjusted EBITDA rose by 1% to £4.13 billion. Meanwhile, the adjusted basic earnings per share improved to 10.7 pence from 10.3 pence.

For the period ending 30 September 2024, BT Group recorded a revenue of £10.12 billion, reflecting a 3% decline from the previous year. Adjusted revenue also saw a 3% decrease, standing at £10.14 billion.

The Group maintained its fiscal 2025 guidance for adjusted EBITDA, capital expenditure, and normalized free cash flow, although it revised its revenue outlook to a decline of 1-2%.

Additionally, the Group announced an interim dividend of 2.40 pence per share.
