European Economic News Preview: France Foreign Trade Data Due

On Friday, the focus of European economic updates will be on France's foreign trade figures and Italy's industrial production statistics, as the day presents a lighter schedule for economic news across the continent.

At 2:45 a.m. ET, France's customs authorities are set to release September's foreign trade figures. Analysts expect the trade deficit to reduce slightly to EUR 7.0 billion, down from EUR 7.4 billion recorded in August.

Meanwhile, at 4:00 a.m. ET, Italy's national statistics institute, ISTAT, will reveal September's industrial production data. It is anticipated that production will experience a 0.4 percent decline compared to the previous month, which had seen a 0.1 percent increase.

Later, at 6:00 a.m. ET, Italy's retail sales data will be announced. Economists predict a modest rise of 0.2 percent in sales for September, recovering from a 0.5 percent decrease in the preceding month.
