PPG Industries Inc. has announced the finalized sale of its silica products division to Poland's Qemetica for an estimated $310 million in pre-tax revenue. This transaction encompasses PPG's precipitated silicas production facilities located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Delfzijl, the Netherlands. According to the terms of the deal, Qemetica will also lease the silicas production operations situated at PPG's sites in Barberton, Ohio, and Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
