FX.co ★ Norway Jobless Rate Rises To 4.1%

Norway experienced a slight uptick in its unemployment rate in October, following a period of stability in September, according to data released by Statistics Norway on Wednesday.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 4.1 percent in October, a marginal increase from the previous month's 4.0 percent. The number of individuals unemployed climbed slightly, reaching 124,000 in October compared to 123,000 in September, the agency reported.

In terms of employment, the rate held at 70.0 percent, down just a fraction from 70.1 percent in the preceding month.

Despite these shifts, the trend-based unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.0 percent, indicating overall stability in the job market.
