In November, Poland experienced a slight moderation in consumer price inflation, albeit not as significantly as initially anticipated, according to the final data released by Statistics Poland on Friday. The consumer price index increased by 4.7% compared to the previous year, a deceleration from the 5.0% rise recorded in October. Preliminary data had suggested a 4.6% inflation rate.

Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices saw a 4.8% annual increase in November, down from October's 4.9% growth. Housing and utility expenses surged by 9.9%. However, transportation costs further declined, dropping by 4.1%, compared to a marginal 0.4% decrease in the prior month.

On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices saw a 0.5% rise in November, an upward revision from the initial 0.4% estimate, following a 0.3% increase in October.
