MiMedx Group, Inc. (MDXG) announced on Tuesday that it has initiated a lawsuit against Surgenex, LLC, accusing the latter of patent infringement concerning its placental allograft products. The legal action, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, aims to secure both a permanent injunction and financial compensation. Earlier in the year, MiMedx accused Surgenex of engaging in a corporate raiding scheme targeting its commercial operations and unfair competitive practices. As it stands, MiMedx's stock is trading at $9.44, reflecting a decline of 0.32 percent on the Nasdaq.
