Cyprus HICP Inflation Accelerates In November

The European Union's measure of consumer prices in Cyprus rose at an accelerated rate in November, according to recent data released by the statistical office on Wednesday.

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) saw a year-on-year increase of 2.2% in November, compared to a steady rise of 1.6% in October.

Notably, costs associated with recreation and culture surged by 7.8% on an annual basis, while prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 4.2%. In contrast, energy prices experienced a decline of 4.4%.

On a month-to-month comparison, the HICP registered a growth of 1.0% in November.
