Cameco (CCO.TO, CCJ) has received notification from its partner, National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC, and Joint Venture Inkai LLP, that production activities at JV Inkai will be suspended starting January 1, 2025. As the controlling partner, Kazatomprom instructed JV Inkai to cease operations by December 30, 2024, to comply with Kazakhstan's legal requirements. On December 31, 2024, JV Inkai informed Cameco that it had not been granted an extension for submitting its revised Project for Uranium Deposit Development documentation.
