Japan M2 Money Stock Rises 1.3% On Year In December

In December, Japan's M2 money stock saw a 3.2 percent year-over-year increase, reaching 1,257.7 trillion yen, according to a report by the Bank of Japan issued on Wednesday. This growth surpassed the anticipated 1.3 percent, maintaining the same level as the previous three months.

Additionally, the M3 money stock experienced a 0.8 percent annual rise, totaling 1,609.5 trillion yen, while M1 increased by 1.3 percent to 1,096.5 trillion yen. Furthermore, the L money stock grew by 3.7 percent on an annual basis, reaching 2,195.6 trillion yen, following a 3.5 percent increase in the previous month.
