Chunghwa Telecom Q4 Results Rise; Sees Revenue Growth In FY25

Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (CHT) from Taiwan disclosed on Thursday that its net income for the fourth quarter, specific to shareholders of the parent company, rose by 9% to NT$9.00 billion, up from NT$8.26 billion the previous year. Basic earnings per share increased to NT$1.16, compared to NT$1.06 last year. The company's operating income experienced an 11.5% year-over-year growth, reaching NT$11.65 billion, while EBITDA increased by 5.9% to NT$21.59 billion. The EBITDA margin slightly improved to 33.04%, compared to 32.95% during the same period in 2023. Total revenue saw a 5.6% rise, amounting to NT$65.35 billion, up from NT$61.87 billion from the previous year.

Looking forward, Chunghwa Telecom anticipates for the fiscal year 2025 that net income attributable will be in the range of NT$35.84 billion to NT$37.39 billion, and earnings per share are expected to settle between NT$4.62 and NT$4.82. For fiscal 2024, the company's attributable net income stood at NT$37.21 billion, translating to NT$4.80 per share.

For 2025, the company projects its total revenue will see an increase ranging from 1.2% to 1.6% compared to the previous year, amounting to between NT$232.74 billion and NT$233.74 billion. In 2024, total revenues amounted to NT$230.03 billion.
