FX.co ★ Henry Schein Announces Strategic Investment By KKR; Reports Preliminary Q4 Results

Henry Schein (HSIC) has disclosed a significant strategic investment by KKR-affiliated funds. Building upon its existing holdings, KKR will inject an additional $250 million into Henry Schein's common stock. This move will position KKR as the largest non-index fund shareholder, commanding a 12% stake in the company. Additionally, KKR has the option to acquire more shares via open market transactions, potentially increasing its equity stake to 14.9% of the company’s outstanding common shares.

Henry Schein has also shared its preliminary, unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ending December 28, 2024. During the fourth quarter, the company saw preliminary revenues reach $3.2 billion. Its preliminary GAAP net income was reported at $94 million, translating to $0.74 per share. On a non-GAAP basis, the preliminary net income stood at $149 million or $1.19 per share, with an adjusted EBITDA of $270 million.

For the entire 2024 fiscal year, preliminary revenues were reported at $12.7 billion. The company’s preliminary GAAP net income was $390 million, equating to $3.05 per share. Non-GAAP net income was estimated at $605 million or $4.74 per share, with a preliminary adjusted EBITDA of $1.06 billion.

Looking ahead, Henry Schein provided preliminary financial guidance for 2025, forecasting revenue and non-GAAP earnings per share growth within a low to mid-single-digit range. Adjusted EBITDA is projected to grow in a mid-single-digit range over the year.

Moreover, the company’s Board of Directors has sanctioned an increment in the stock repurchase program, upping it by $500 million. Out of this, $250 million will be utilized for accelerated share repurchases.
