Pentair plc (PNR) has released its financial projections for the first quarter and the entire fiscal year of 2025. For the initial quarter, the company forecasts earnings between $155 million and $158 million, translating to $0.93 to $0.95 per share. For the full year of 2025, Pentair expects earnings in the range of $726 million to $751 million, equating to $4.37 to $4.52 per share.
On an adjusted basis, Pentair anticipates earnings of $167 million to $170 million, or $1.00 to $1.02 per share for the first quarter, and approximately $772 million to $797 million, or $4.65 to $4.80 per share for the entire fiscal year. In contrast, analysts, on average, predict earnings of $1.10 per share for the first quarter and $4.83 per share for the full year.
Pentair forecasts a revenue decline of approximately 3 to 4 percent on a reported basis for the first quarter compared to the previous period, with revenue expected to remain flat or slightly increase by up to 2 percent on a reported basis over the fiscal year 2025. Analysts, on average, estimate the revenue to be $1.04 billion for the first quarter and $4.23 billion for the full year.
In pre-market trading on the New York Stock Exchange, Pentair's stock has decreased by 3.82 percent, bringing the price to $98.71.
