American States Water Company Announces CPUC's Final Decision On GSWC Rate Case

American States Water Company (AWR) announced on Tuesday that the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has finalized its decision regarding the general rate case for its water utility subsidiary, Golden State Water Company (GSWC). This decision, finalized on January 30, establishes new water rates for the years 2025 through 2027, which officially came into effect on January 1.

AWR expressed satisfaction that the final decision mirrors the alternate decision issued on December 27, 2024, which approved GSWC's request to maintain the sales reconciliation mechanism. With the CPUC's approval, GSWC implemented the new rate increases for 2025 on February 1.

Currently, AWR's stock is trading at $72.90 on the New York Stock Exchange, reflecting a slight increase of 0.10 percent or $0.07.
