US Core PCE Prices Rise More than Expected

In February 2025, the US core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, excluding the typically volatile food and energy sectors, experienced a noteworthy rise of 0.4% from the previous month. This marks the most significant increase since January 2024 and exceeds the anticipated 0.3% rise, which was recorded in January.
