In February 2025, Greece's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 8.6%, down from a revised rate of 9.1% in January. This represents the lowest unemployment rate since December 2008. The unemployed population reduced by 22.9 thousand, reaching a 16-year low of 404.6 thousand individuals. Concurrently, employment rose by 36.9 thousand, bringing the total to 4.31 million employed individuals. Additionally, there was a decrease of 16.5 thousand in the number of individuals outside the labor force, which now stands at 3.04 million.
