However, the youth unemployment rate, representing individuals under 25 who are actively job-seeking, experienced a modest increase to 14.2% from January's 14.1%. Among the major economies of the bloc, Germany and the Netherlands boasted the lowest unemployment rates at 3.5% and 3.8% respectively, whereas Spain (10.4%), France (7.4%), and Italy (5.9%) faced higher rates. In comparison, the unemployment rate was slightly higher a year ago, standing at 6.5%.
