Bosnia and Herzegovina Industrial Output Declines Sharply

Industrial production in Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a significant decline of 6% year-on-year in February 2025, a steeper fall compared to the previous month's 0.8% decrease. This represents the most pronounced reduction since last August, primarily attributed to substantial contractions in consumer durables, which fell by 22.3% compared to 14.8% in January, and capital goods, which dropped by 10.8% compared to 2%. Further contractions were observed in the production of intermediate goods, which decreased by 6.4% compared to 1.7%, and consumer non-durables, which fell by 5.5% compared to an 11% increase previously. Conversely, energy output saw a slight uptick of 0.2%, improving from a 1.7% decline. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose by 0.4%, following a 2.2% increase in January.
