Colombia Exports Fall in February

In February 2025, Colombia experienced a 0.8% decrease in its export figures, reaching USD 3.780 billion. This downturn followed a 4.3% improvement in the prior month, reflecting a year-on-year decline primarily triggered by a significant 17.5% reduction in the fuel and extractive industries sector. Despite this setback, there were noteworthy advancements in other areas: exports of agricultural products, food, and beverages rose by an impressive 18.7%. Within this category, unroasted decaffeinated or non-decaffeinated coffee exports surged by 70.1%, and coffee extracts and concentrates climbed by 49.1%. Additionally, exports of manufactured goods increased modestly by 2.4%. The United States stood as Colombia's leading export market, comprising 27.0% of overall exports, with Panama and Ecuador following at 5.9% and 4.5%, respectively.
