FX.co ★ Switzerland Jobless Rate Stays at 2.9% in March

The Swiss unemployment rate for March 2025, measured without seasonal adjustments, was steady at 2.9%, the same as the previous month and just below the peak of 3.0% observed in January, which was the highest since May 2021. In terms of figures, the number of unemployed individuals declined by 2,900, reaching a total of 132,600. Regarding youth unemployment—defined for job seekers aged between 15 and 24—the rate slightly decreased to 2.6% from February's 2.7%, with a decrease of 400 young unemployed individuals, bringing their total to 11,700. Additionally, the number of reported job vacancies fell by 1,900 to 42,500 during this period. When adjusted for seasonal variations, the unemployment rate increased slightly to 2.8% from the previous month's 2.7%.
