In February 2025, Uruguay's unemployment rate decreased to 7.9%, a decline from 8.3% during the same month in the previous year. However, this figure represents an increase from the 7.2% rate recorded in November, which was the lowest since December 2021. The labor force participation rate slightly dipped to 64.5% from January's 64.6%, while the employment rate held steady at 59.4%.
