In March 2025, Seychelles experienced a consumer price decline of 0.04%, marking the country's second consecutive month of deflation, though the rate has lessened from a 0.09% reduction in February. Prices for non-food items decreased at a more gradual rate (-0.04% compared to -0.2% in February). Conversely, fish prices continued to plummet significantly (-10.22% compared to -4.96% previously), while the decline in prices for food items, excluding fresh fish, saw a slight moderation (1.08% versus 1.19%). On a month-to-month comparison, March witnessed a consumer price increase of 0.02%, recovering from a 0.28% drop in the prior month.
