Macau Tourist Arrivals Up 12.8% in March

In March 2025, Macau experienced a 12.8% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year, reaching 3.07 million visitors. This rise followed a 4.4% decrease in the prior month. Same-day visitor numbers jumped by 23.3%, and overnight visitors saw a slight increase of 0.9%. The average stay of visitors slightly decreased by 0.1 day from the previous year to 1.1 days, with both same-day visits and overnight stays maintaining their durations at 0.2 days and 2.3 days, respectively. Over the first quarter of the year, visitor arrivals increased by 11.1% from the same period last year, totaling 9.86 million. Notably, visitors from Mainland China rose by 14.5% to 7.21 million, with those traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme growing by 15.6%. Meanwhile, tourists from Taiwan surged by 21.6% to 221,150, although arrivals from Hong Kong declined by 3.6% to 1.75 million.
