In March 2025, the total credit extended to the Greek economy experienced a year-on-year increase of 6.9%, up from a 6.2% growth observed in February. Credit extended to the general government saw a rebound, growing by 1.6%, after a revised decline of 0.2% the month before. Meanwhile, credit to the private sector maintained a strong growth trajectory, increasing by 10.3%, slightly down from February's 10.5% rise.
