In March 2025, Bulgaria experienced a 17.4% increase in producer prices compared to the same month in the previous year. This follows a 16.3% increase observed in February 2025. This upsurge represents the highest level of producer inflation recorded since December 2022. The rise in prices affected all sectors, including mining and quarrying, which saw an increase to 32.7% from the previous 30.9%. The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector experienced a significant jump to 52.9%, up from 44.3%. The manufacturing sector saw a slight decrease in price increase to 11.3% from 12.1%, with notable contributions from the manufacture of basic metals, food products, and beverages. However, on a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 0.5% in March, marking the first decline in five months and reversing the 2.8% increase seen in February.
