In February 2025, Spain's current account surplus declined to €2.31 billion, down from €3.02 billion in the same month of the previous year. Despite this reduction, it was still the highest current account surplus recorded since October 2024. The decrease in the primary and secondary income deficit, which fell to €1.22 billion from €1.8 billion in February 2023, contributed positively. However, the surplus in goods and services also shrank, dropping to €3.53 billion from €4.81 billion.
