In March 2025, Colombia's unemployment rate declined to 9.6%, a decrease from 11.3% in March of the previous year. Despite this improvement, the rate still exceeds the recent low of 8.2% recorded in November 2024, which was the lowest since late 2015. The number of employed individuals grew by 1.057 million, bringing the total employed population to 23.702 million on a year-over-year basis. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate edged up to 64.7% from 63.9% a year prior, and the employment rate improved to 58.5% from 56.7%.
