In March 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a 2.9% year-on-year reduction in retail sales, an improvement from the 4.4% decrease observed the previous month. The decline in sales of non-food items was more moderate than before, falling by 6.5% compared to February's 8% decrease. Meanwhile, sales of food, beverages, and tobacco products saw a recovery, growing by 2.5% in contrast to the 3% decline previously. However, the growth in automotive fuel sales decelerated to 0.9%, down from 5.5%. Moreover, on a month-to-month comparison, retail activity decreased by 0.1% in March, following a 0.3% reduction in the preceding month.
