The AIB Ireland Manufacturing PMI increased to 53.0 in April 2025, up from 51.6 in March, signifying the most significant expansion since June 2022. This growth was largely attributed to a continued acceleration in new order growth, achieving its highest point in three years. Concurrently, output experienced its most robust growth in three years, bolstered by strong demand conditions, especially within domestic markets, and relatively healthy sales pipelines. On the other hand, foreign sales experienced a decline after solid growth in the previous month, as diminished demand from the U.S. offset heightened spending from clients in Asia and Europe.
