Rwanda Producer Inflation Eases to 4.2% in March

In March 2025, Rwanda experienced a 4.2% year-on-year increase in producer prices, slightly down from February's 4.3% rise, which had been the most significant since May 2024. This represents the fourth consecutive month of producer inflation, largely driven by the increase in manufacturing prices, which rose by 5.1% compared to February's 5.2%, and a steady rise in mining and quarrying costs, maintaining a 1.1% increase. Other sectors, including electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, along with water supply, sewerage, waste management, remediation, and information and communication, saw no change. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices saw a 0.6% decrease in March, following a 0.9% reduction in February, marking two months of consecutive decline.
