In March 2025, Slovakia's industrial production showed a significant rebound, increasing by 3.5% year-on-year. This marks the most rapid growth period in eight months, recovering from a 1.3% decline observed the previous month. The primary driver of this resurgence was robust manufacturing output, which expanded by 6% compared to a 0.5% decrease in February. Notable contributions came from the manufacturing of transport equipment, which surged by 20.6% compared to 12% the prior month, computer products, which grew by 25.8% against 24.4%, and food products, which rose by 7.4% from 1.3%. Nevertheless, these gains were partly offset by continued declines in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning, which fell by 15.6% compared to a 7.3% drop, alongside a decrease in machinery and equipment manufacturing, which slid by 15.7% from a 12.6% decline. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production increased by 0.7%, following a substantial 5.2% rise in the preceding period.
