Croatia Producer Prices Down 0.5% in April

Producer prices in Croatia experienced a year-on-year decrease of 0.5% in April 2025, following stable figures in March. This drop was primarily driven by a reduction in energy costs, which fell by 5.1%, compared to a 3.4% decline in the previous month. Additionally, there was a deceleration in price increases for capital goods, slowing to 2% from 2.2%, and for durable consumer goods, which eased to 0.7% from 0.8%. Meanwhile, inflation in producer prices remained steady for both intermediate goods at 1.5% and non-durable consumer goods at 2.1%. Excluding the energy sector, the producer price index stood firm at 1.8%, consistent with last month's data. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices decreased by 1.5%, building on a previous decline of 0.4%.
