German Exports at 11-Month High

In March 2025, Germany's exports rose by 1.1% from the previous month, reaching EUR 133.2 billion, marking the highest level in eleven months. This follows a 1.8% increase in February. Exports to the European Union advanced by 3.1%, with a notable rise in shipments to the Eurozone at 3.8% and a 1.6% increase to non-Eurozone EU countries. Conversely, exports to non-EU countries decreased by 1.1%, with the United Kingdom experiencing a significant drop of 2.8%. However, exports to the United States climbed by 2.4% in anticipation of the impending US tariffs, and shipments to China surged by 10.2%. From January to March 2025, Germany's exports grew by 0.9%, totaling EUR 349.3 billion compared to the same timeframe the previous year.
