In the three-month period concluding in March 2025, employment in the United Kingdom saw an increment of 112,000 individuals. This figure is a decline from the preceding five-month peak of 206,000, indicating the slowest job growth since the quarter ending December 2024, primarily due to a decrease in full-time employment. When compared to the corresponding period from the previous year, employment experienced a significant rise of 640,000, encompassing increases in both employee and self-employed categories. Additionally, the employment rate among individuals aged 16 to 64 stood at 75%, a slight decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the earlier period.
