Lithuania experienced a reduction in its current account surplus in March 2025, decreasing to EUR 192.73 million from EUR 288.99 million in the same month the previous year. Despite this contraction, it remained the highest current account surplus recorded since October 2024. This improvement was driven by a notable rise in the services account surplus, which increased to EUR 902.04 million compared to EUR 773.11 million in March of the prior year. Furthermore, the primary income deficit decreased to EUR 89.83 million from EUR 145.90 million, and the secondary income account transitioned to a surplus of EUR 57.26 million, having been at a deficit of EUR 21.22 million in March 2024. On the other hand, the deficit in the goods account expanded significantly, growing to EUR 676.74 million in March 2025, more than doubling from EUR 317 million a year earlier.
