US Stocks Higher, Nvidia Extends Gains

On Wednesday, U.S. stock markets experienced an upswing, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones each advancing by 0.2%, while the Nasdaq saw a more robust rise of 0.6%. This uptick followed the S&P 500's positive year-to-date performance from the previous day, although the upward drive from the recent rally, sparked in part by U.S.-China tariff reductions, seemed to be losing steam. Investors remained attentive to President Trump's Middle East visit, which captured market observers' focus. The technology sector emerged as the standout performer, whereas the real estate and utilities sectors lagged. Nvidia's shares surged over 3%, continuing an upward trend from a 5.6% gain earlier, as it secured an agreement to deliver more than 18,000 AI chips to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Super Micro Computer soared by 17% after announcing a $20 billion collaboration with Saudi-based data center operator DataVolt. Among the mega-cap stocks, Apple and Amazon showed little change in their trading, while Microsoft increased by 0.4%, Meta by 0.8%, Alphabet added 0.6%, and Tesla climbed by 2.7%.
